Hit The Road

Follow basic tenets of H.O.G. ® as an officer to help run a chapter.
Chapter officers work according to the H.O.G.® Operation Policies of the Chapter Handbook and Chapter Charter 100% of the time.

H.E.A.T. Session 2

Lead and Motivate

Lead effectively and motivate other riders using the “Leading with Questions” approach.

H.E.A.T. Session 3

Successful Group Rides

This session is dedicated to lead safe, memorable, and fun group rides by planning for logistics, fun, and safety, evaluating the route, and brief riders on conditions and issues, and holding a pre-ride meeting.

H.E.A.T. Session 4

Dealer Relationship

Establish and maintain a mutually beneficial connection between the H.O.G. ® chapter and/or local riders and the sponsoring dealer.
Information sharing and contributions from the dealer to the chapter or local riders increase from the prior year.

 

15:30 – 16:15 Office Roundtable or Voice of the Member
17:30 – 22:00 H.O.G.® Lifestyle Experience at beach (DJ and bands)

H.E.A.T. Session 5

Safety on the Road

Adopt best practices for safe and efficient group rides, including T-CLOCK, hand signals and riding formations (lane changes, passing, stopping, and parking).

10:10 – 11:10

H.E.A.T. Session 6

Incredible Events

Organize and product outstanding events that need predetermined success criteria and exceed riders’ expectations. Use the event planning spreadsheet as an important tool.
Attendance at events double as compared to the prior year (up to three years).

Creative Event Planning

Organize and product outstanding events that need predetermined success criteria and exceed riders’ expectations. Use the event planning spreadsheet as an important tool.
Information sharing and contributions from the dealer to the chapter or local riders increase from the prior year.

H.E.A.T. Session 8

New Rider Engagement

Initiate and build effective programs that reach out to new and potential riders and address diverse new rider/member needs.
The percentage of new riders/members who maintain their membership and/or continue participating in group rides in the second year increases from the prior year.

Ride’s End (Chapter)

Create action plans and review available resources through Harley-Davidson®, including the members.hog.com chapter resources for memberships and renewals.

Ride’s End (Non-Chapter)

This session is dedicated to implementing new ideas to ride and have fun, by sharing key take-aways from H.E.A.T., and identifying, as well as implementing top three action steps.

15:15 – 15:45

‘Keep the Revs Up’ – H.E.A.T. Final Session

Wrapping up the course and preparing chapters for the coming year, including a panel Q&A.
